We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are. And nowhere is that more true than in today’s digital landscape, where influence is currency, perception is power, and attention is the most valuable asset of all (cues the current, sitting President).
The line between creator and brand, business and entertainment, strategy and virality has never been blurrier. Trends rise and fall, creators become businesses, brands become content, and audiences shape narratives in real time.
Everyone is trying to capture influence—but few understand how it actually works.
That’s where I come in.
Over the last 12 years, I’ve worked in the world of influencer marketing, digital strategy, and the creator economy—on the brand side, the agency side, and directly managing creators’ brands and partnerships.
Most people in this space specialize in just one lane—I’ve worked in all three. I’ve built campaigns at major brands, executed strategy at top agencies, and worked directly with creators to grow and monetize their influence. This rare, full-circle experience gives me an edge in breaking down the creator economy with depth, clarity, and the kind of insight you won’t find anywhere else.
But expertise alone isn’t enough—perspective is what really matters.
The way we interpret trends, analyze influence, and predict what’s next depends on the lens we use. This blog isn’t just about keeping up with the industry—it’s about challenging how we see it and uncovering the bigger picture.
Oh, and if at some point I casually mention veteran rights, voter suppression, systemic barriers, or the hospitality industry, just roll with it. My career path is by no means linear. I started in the U.S. Air Force handling Finance and Accounting, earned a degree in Hospitality and Tourism, and before all of that, I was deep in Pre-Law magnet studies during my high school years. I also spent the first 10 years of my life in Alabama, and—because life is funny—my very first job was at a movie theater.
So while this blog will focus on influencer marketing, digital culture, and brand strategy, don’t be surprised if I also touch on veteran rights, voter suppression, systemic barriers, or why the hospitality industry is just crisis management with better lighting. And if the topic ever shifts to entertainment and film, well, consider that a natural extension of my first job studying audience reactions and celebrity culture in real time—popcorn machine and all.
